The 2026 UTAG Family Get-Together was successfully held on 10 January 2026 at the Mensah Sarbah Field, University of Ghana, bringing together UTAG members and their families for a day of friendship, relaxation, and shared experiences. Organised under the theme, "Collegiality, Celebration and Community", the event created a welcoming platform for strengthening bonds, fostering networking, and reinforcing a strong sense of belonging within the UTAG community.

With participation exceeding 500 attendees, the get-together provided a vibrant, family-friendly environment that catered for all aged groups. Members and their families engaged in a wide range of activities, including both board and local games such as table tennis, ludo, oware, draughts, UNO, chess, and cards, which encouraged interaction and friendly competition. Children enjoyed specially curated recreational activities, including a bouncy castle, tampoline, and football, ensuring that younger participants were fully included in the celebration. The lively atmosphere was further enhanced by the sharing of pizza, which delighted the children and sparked enthusiastic anticipation for future UTAG events.

The presence of the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ghana, Professor Nana Aba Appiah Amfo, the Pro-Vice Chancellor (ASA), Professor Gordon Awandare, and other senior university officials added prestige to the event, underscoring UTAG's strong institutional ties and visibility within the University community. The programme also featured a health screening station, demonstrating UTAG's commitment to member well-being, as well as designated stands for sponsors to showcase and promote their products, thereby strengthening partnerships and goodwill.

Feedback collected through post-event survey indicated high levels of satisfaction with the organisation, venue, and diversity of activities, while also generating valuable ideas for future programmes. Winners of the various competitions receive UTAG-branded T-shirts, adding to the excitement and sense of shared identity.

Overall, the 2026 UTAG Family Get-Together was a memorable and impactful event that effectively promoted camaraderie, community engagement, and sustained member involvement.
